Bitter Sweet Christmas

Hey everybody sorry I haven't updated in a while.
We left the compound at 7:30 on Thursday, Dec 20 and got home around 10:30 that night. It was a long drive and by the end we were all a little loopy and crazy. The babies did so wonderful. We had to take them out of their seats a few times but other than that they did so great. I was so happy to get home and see my family and friends.

We had a great Christmas, but it was a little bitter sweet since it will be our last one with all of our family for a few years. We all got a few little things that could fit in our suitcases but they were all things that we wanted or needed. Well, alright I need to go and take care of some things. Talk to you later.

Getting excited about Brazil

Our teachers have been pumping us up to go to our country. It has really gotten me even more excited to go. I am going to miss all of you, but I am so terribly excited to go.
We have been learning a whole lot about our country and our countries religion. Some of the things I have learned about Brazil is that if a woman is walking through a mall and looks at a man it is considered a come on. How weird is that. Another thing is you never put anything on the floor or ground especially your purse because it is like saying you want to be picked up by a man. I think that is going to be hard for me, but I will definately be careful about that. We also cannot eat with our hands. The only thing we can eat with our hands is McDonalds french fries.
I am just so excited to go and share the gospel with the Brazilians.

Our Eight Weeks In Virgina

So far we have been here for 6 weeks. It has been fun and hard and I am ready to come home but at the same time i am sad to leave. There are eight kids in my class and we have had alot of fun. We have gone to International Markets to see the different foods of some of the places we are going. We also went to a Mosque and watched a Muslim prayer service. It has been interesting to see all the different cultures and ethnic groups and to be apart of it.

We took a day trip to Washington D.C. We had tons of fun. We went to see the Washington Monument and the Museum of Natural History.
